PSA: Dissidia and ACC: Reunion Tracks OSTs on US iTunes

Advent Children Complete Reunion Tracks featuring music from the new cut of the film and the On The Way To A Smile anime has been added to US iTunes. It's hiding away on a different Nobuo Uematsu artist page than the one with the rest of the FF soundtracks. And it's only $9.99! Without me importing it first!

Similarly, the Dissidia soundtrack -- complete with shitty emo tracks -- is also available under SQUARE ENIX MUSIC for $15.99. The only track worth buying is the newly-re-arranged FFIX battle theme. It's like a crazy dance mix only not.

I have no idea why I'm awake.

Moving

Yes another "I'm busy" post, but this one does warrant attention.
  1. Peach-Arrow Network has moved to a new server. This shouldn't affect the functionality of any of the sites, but if you do run into an error, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could contact me with the page url and the error message you encountered (if applicable). You can use the contact form, e-mail address, or just reply here to report any issues.
  2. I'm moving. I've moved most of the stuff out, now it's a matter of moving everything in. Updates around here will obviously be slow while I get my shit together.
I'm still pretty busy with academic commitments right now, but I'm trying to get a Strife revamp together, which will hopefully be online by the end of the year.

State of the Peach: Where Are My Updates?!

Now that we are quickly approaching our second Will, Strife and Ayu-Vogue discography update deadline, I figure it's time for an explanation as to what I've been up to.

After spending the better part of six months on a thesis, I graduated last June and thought I'd have a couple of months off to leisurely make updates here. That has obviously not been the case. At this time, I do not foresee any significant content updates being made until September at the earliest. Will will take the backseat to Strife.

I appreciate your patience and hope to have a better game plan (and something to show for it) later this year.

Strife, Will, and the Peachy Projects list have been updated to reflect this prolonged informational hiatus. Fanlistings will continue to be updated regularly.

Don't Call It A Comeback

My PS3's in the shop for a broken Blu-Ray drive, and there is the possibility that I will be without an internet connection for about a week starting Friday. But hey, at least Will is now approved by TAFL?

I have to confess that the only things I'm actively working are new layouts for Midgar-Rock and Ayu-Vogue. Promised content revamps will be further delayed due until after I recover from my current state of braindeadness.

State of the Peach: It ain't over till it's over

I have three more weeks of classes. Given the sheer volume of work I have to wrap up in this time, I'm going to unofficially add a month to all ACC and Ayu-Vogue Discography revamp projects.

After graduation in June, the content revamp schedule will be as follows (in order of priority)
  1. 7th Heaven
  2. Will
  3. Strife
  4. Ayu-Vogue merchandise and analog discography
I don't foresee Sunshine being significantly edited after ACC, so it may have its update earlier than 7th Heaven or Will, and NEVER EVER will most likely remain AC-only until I feel like changing it. Grace is also scheduled to have a navigational revamp which will probably occur earlier than the projected content revamps, and the Super Secret Project will also likely be treated as a priority.

Gloriosa Galleries have officially migrated to the new MR! Museum, though the content links are kind of a mess. I'm really okay with that for now.

In conclusion: I'm going to stay in lurker mode for awhile still. Fanlisting members will still be added, and only big Ayu news will be reported.

State of the Peach: New Privacy Policy

Some of you may have noticed the new privacy policy popping up at certain Peach-Arrow Network sites. This is because all Peach-Arrow Network domains and some of the bigger sub-domains are now using Google Analytics to better cater to its user base. Right now this only affects Peach-Arrow.net, Ayu-Vogue.net, and Strife.

As of April 2009, the Peach-Arrow Network uses Google Analytics to gather information from users with javascript-enabled browsers. This information includes:

  • Types of Internet browsers used to access the site and the browser version number (example: Internet Explorer 7, etc)
  • Type of operating system
  • Screen resolution
  • IP address
  • What Peach-Arrow Network pages are accessed, etc.

This information is collected to better optimize the Peach-Arrow Network for its users. It will not be sold or otherwise used for monetary profit. Peach-Arrow does not collect any personal information like visitor legal names, mailing addresses, etc.

To clarify, Peach-Arrow will be using general information -- primarily what browsers are used -- to better optimize the viewing experience and make its sites more accessible. The Peach-Arrow Network will remain personally financed/ad-free.

PSA: ACC (Possible) US Version?

Kotaku is reporting a trailer posted on GameTrailers that is allegedly for a North American version of Advent Children Complete. This version will be released simultaneously internationally. But we've heard promises like these before.

We knew the Japanese version came with an English language track, but the trailer has no new dialogue in English (and has a shitty, Albert Wesker-esque narration). I would write this off as a fake if the trailer wasn't listed alongside other "official" (or otherwise not user-submitted) trailers on GameTrailers.com. However, keep in mind that Square Enix has said nothing about it on its official site. Until a press release is posted on Square North America or Square Enix Holdings, consider this a rumor.

Hopefully it'll be confirmed/denied by Square corporate in a few hours and this won't be AC all over again.

Related Edit: Still no confirmation on the alleged US release, but the Japanese version at least will definitely come with a new anime OVA retelling the "Case of Denzel" story (FF7AC reunion).

State of the Peach and Ayu News

Classes begin again today and the Peach-Arrow Network will again enter it's semi-comatose state (not that it was updated much over the break). Fanlistings and Ayu news will continue to be updated regularly, and I'll continue to chip away at the new content at Strife until I have time to really invest in my projects.

Ayu-Vogue has been the only site consistently updated through the break with news updates, including one today.

PSA: Dissidia Coming to the US

Passing along the good news first posted in [info]ffchaoticcosmos

Square NA announced today that Dissidia will be coming to the US summer 2009 along with the traiding arts figures:

This almost makes up for GREEN/Days and Days/GREEN getting lost in the mail! 2009 is already shaping up to be awesome.

State of the Peach: Revisited

Yeah, nothing's going to get done this quarter. I'll do my best to get the first phase of the Ayu-Vogue revamp (new discography and layout) up by next week Friday, and there will be a few housekeeping issues addressed later today, but no other major projects will receive significant attention until December.

State of the Peach: Classes Begin

The autumn quarter begins tomorrow, bringing the Peach-Arrow Network's Summer Progress to an end.  I will be busy with an independent study on top of my usually classes, but I will spend my extra time on the following network projects:
  1. The Ayu-Vogue Network Discography is currently under-going a major overhaul. This will hopefully be uploaded in October. Other sections will follow (time allowing).
  2. The Midgar-Rock Organization revamp will continue. All artwork and screen captures (+new ones) have been moved to the new database, and the scope of the informational sections is in the processes of being refined to contextualize shrines rather than compete with them.
  3. Any leftover energy will be alloted to Melody

State of the Peach: Database Issues

Peach-Arrow Network database is totally broken, so all fanlistings, galleries, and the Ayu-Vogue news blog are all down.

Host has been notified and hopefully everything will be straightened up soon. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Edit: Haven't heard back from our host, but they seem to have worked their magic anyway. Please reply here or contact me if you have trouble with the fanlistings or news blog.

Cleaning, Strife, etc

Peach-Arrow Network

  • Peach-Arrow
    • Revamped the Quick Contact Form to match the current layout and have more comprehensive contact options.
    • Fixed some truly unfortunate typos in the site descriptions
  • Hosted Fanlistings
    • ANGEL'S SONG hit its 250 milestone earlier this month, most of which joined while it was under Veronica's care.

Midgar-Rock Organization

  • Strife
    • Re-did the back-end to make the navigation more dynamic. I'm more excited about this than you are, I think.
    • Cloud Cake 2008 now has its own section
I spent the last few days sort of in a state of perpetual exhaustion, but I was able to finally get back on the ball last night. The new Forget Me Not will be uploaded tomorrow or Tuesday. Or tonight if I'm feeling particularly ambitious. Probably Tuesday.

The profile here has been updated to be less cluttered/sorta-kinda go with the domain color scheme. Coding LJ profiles makes me die inside.
